The North Carolina Hospitality Alliance strives to improve our State's quality of life by promoting and protecting Travel and Tourism at both the state and local levels. Travel and Tourism provide numerous benefits, including jobs, tax revenue, economic development opportunities, natural and cultural resources, and recreational opportunities. Our mission is to aid in the development of policy to ensure all our communities reap the benefit of having a strong Travel and Tourism industry.

Jim Beley

Executive Director

A Hospitality Industry executive for over fifty years working in the luxury hotel segment. Jim held management positions with Hyatt Hotels, Ritz-Carlton, Kohler Co., Auberge Resorts, and most recently as the general manager of The Umstead Hotel & Spa for fourteen years. Jim has served on the board of the North Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association, Greater Raleigh Convention & Tourism Bureau, Chamber of Commerce, along as a board liaison with Visit North Carolina. He resides in Raleigh with his wife Ellen, and accepted the assignment to lead the North Carolina Hospitality Alliance in May 2024.

Cyndi Tomblin

Administrator

Cyndi Tomblin helped found the North Carolina Hospitality Alliance and serves as Director for its Wake County Hospitality Alliance project. Prior to working with the Alliance, she spent over 25 years working with Summit Hospitality Group in Raleigh filling many roles including accounting & finance, risk management, information technology, and executive administration. Cyndi lives in Cary with her four children and is an active leader in her children’s scout troops and extracurricular school activities. An obvious fan of travel in North Carolina she enjoys visiting all over the state, from the mountains to the coast.
